Cabinet storage covers the pull-out hardware that turns a plain kitchen cabinet into organized, reachable space: wire basket pull-outs for narrow base cabinets from 5-7/8 inch (150 mm) to 23-5/8 inch (600 mm) wide, side-mount and bottom-mount cargo systems with 2 to 6 tiers, pantry baskets with soft-close runners, plate racks, cutlery caddies and wire basket drawers on H45 full-extension slides. Every unit mounts inside a standard cabinet carcass and brings the contents out to you, so the back of the cabinet is no longer a place where things disappear.

Why pull-out storage beats a fixed shelf

A 24 inch deep base cabinet with two fixed shelves offers a lot of volume and very little usable space: whatever stands at the back is hidden behind whatever stands at the front. A pull-out basket on full-extension runners works like a drawer with an open top – the whole load slides out, every item is visible from above and nothing has to be unpacked to reach the item behind it. In narrow cabinets the gain is even larger, because a 150 or 200 mm wide gap next to a stove or fridge cannot hold a drawer front of its own but easily takes a Mini Cargo pull-out with three wire shelves.

Types of cabinet storage in this category

Mini Cargo and Side Cargo pull-outs for narrow cabinets

The 5-7/8 inch Mini Cargo with 3 shelves and the 7-7/8 inch Side Cargo use a vertical frame on bottom-mount soft-close runners; the front of the cabinet is fixed to the frame and becomes the handle. Bottles, oils, spices and cleaning products stand upright in chrome wire shelves.

EXCLUSIVE CARGO MULTI baskets for 300, 500 and 600 mm cabinets

The MULTI series – for example the 11-3/4 inch (300 mm) basket in white, the 19-11/16 inch (500 mm) pantry basket in gray graphite and the 23-5/8 inch (600 mm) basket drawer in white – are single-tier wire baskets with a closed-mesh bottom that mount on their own full-extension slides, one above the other, behind a hinged door. They are the quickest way to retrofit an older cabinet with fixed shelves.

Soft-close pantry pull-outs with several tiers

The 15-3/4 inch (40 cm) soft-close pantry pull-out with 2 baskets in anthracite, the 300 mm side-mount pantry shelves with 2 tiers in charcoal and the 6-tier chrome pantry basket for 300 mm cabinets carry several baskets on one frame, so a whole pantry column slides out at once.

Plate racks, cutlery caddies and basket drawers

The shelf panel holder rack keeps plates and trays upright inside a basket, the cutlery caddy organizes flatware in a pull-out, and the wire basket drawer on H45 full-extension slides is a universal basket for cabinets without a drawer front. A collapsible laundry basket for 50 cm cabinets extends the same idea to bathrooms and utility rooms.

Measuring for a pull-out

  1. Cabinet width – the nominal width (300, 400, 500, 600 mm; 11-13/16 to 23-5/8 inch) is the outside width of the carcass. Each product page states the required clear inner width, typically the nominal width minus 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 inch (32–38 mm) for 5/8 or 3/4 inch sides.
  2. Depth – most units need a clear inner depth of 18-1/2 to 19-1/2 inch (470–495 mm) and fit the standard 24 inch (600 mm) deep kitchen base cabinet.
  3. Height – multi-tier frames need the full cabinet height; single baskets can be stacked at any spacing, usually 8–10 inch apart.
  4. Door and hinge – with side-mount baskets behind a hinged door, the door must open at least 110° so the basket clears it; see 110 degree cabinet hinges.

Frequently asked questions

Will a pull-out fit my existing cabinet?

If the clear inner width and depth match the values on the product page and the cabinet has a flat bottom or side panels to screw into, yes. Older cabinets with a center stile need a bottom-mount unit narrower than the opening.

How much weight can a basket carry?

Single wire baskets on full-extension slides typically carry 20–30 kg (45–65 lb); multi-tier frames share the load across all tiers. Keep the heaviest items on the lowest tier.

Do I need to remove the cabinet door?

For Mini Cargo and Side Cargo units the door is attached to the pull-out frame and becomes its front. For basket drawers behind a hinged door, the door stays on its hinges.

What is the difference between bottom-mount and side-mount?

Bottom-mount units screw to the cabinet floor and suit cabinets of any height; side-mount units screw to the side panels and leave the floor free, which is useful above a plinth drawer or where pipes run along the bottom.
